Cancellation Policy

Neyborly Cancellation and Refund Policy

Last Updated: July 7, 2020

Life happens and plans change.

We understand that and have created a refund/cancellation policy to help protect the Host in the event that a Host needs to alter or cancel the reservation altogether. When Hosts cancel Bookings, Neyborly’s ability to re-book that Space during that time becomes increasingly difficult, as other interested Hosts may have already made other plans. Nonetheless, plans may change, requiring Hosts or Neyborly to cancel Bookings on occasion.

This Neyborly Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") covers all cancellations or refunds for Fees paid to Neyborly, Inc. Both Hosts and Neyborly agree that they are subject to and will comply with the terms, conditions, and procedures of this Policy when cancelling a Booking. If you have any questions about this Policy, please contact us. You must agree to this Policy to use the Services and the Platform.

Please read this Policy carefully.

You may not use the Platform or Services if you do not agree to this Policy. We reserve the right to amend this Policy for any reason and at any time by posting an updated version to our website.

Host-Initiated Cancellations

If host cancels outside of 45 days of the event they will be refunded 100%.

If host cancels within 45 days of event they will be refunded 0%.

Refunds typically take 5-7 business days to show up in the Hosts’ bank account. Where Hosts cancel a portion of a multi-day Booking, the refunds will only apply to the specific dates cancelled.

Neyborly Initiated Cancellations

Neyborly reserves the right to cancel any bookings under extenuating circumstances that are out of our control, such as;

1) Legal, municipality, or utility injunction or order that directly restricts use of or access to a Space.

2) Significant natural disasters or severe weather incidents triggering a state of emergency that directly impact use of a Space or the Host’s ability to travel to the Space;

3) Urgent travel restrictions or severe security advisories issued after the time of Booking, by an appropriate government office or agency;

4) Severe property damage or unforeseen maintenance issues that directly impact the safe use of the Space.

Neyborly Excused Cancellations

In rare instances, it may be necessary to cancel a confirmed Booking due to extenuating circumstances under short notice for one of the situations identified below (“Excused Cancellation”):

1) Unexpected death or serious illness of the Host, or immediate family member;

2) Serious injury that directly restricts a Host’s ability to travel or Neyborly’s ability to provide the Booked Space;

3) Significant natural disasters or severe weather incidents triggering a state of emergency that directly impact use of a Space or the Host’s ability to travel to the Space;

4) Urgent travel restrictions or severe security advisories issued after the time of Booking, by an appropriate government office or agency;

5) Severe property damage or unforeseen maintenance issues that directly impact the safe use of the Space; or

6) Legal, municipality, or utility injunction or order that directly restricts use of or access to a Space.

All Bookings cancelled due to the aforementioned extenuating circumstances will be given the opportunity to reschedule for a later date at no additional charge. Cash refunds will not be given for these Excused Cancellations. But we will be happy to re-book you at a later date and apply 100% the paid Booking Fees towards a future booking. How to Cancel a Booking To cancel a Booking you must submit a request to cancel to booking@neyborly.com. Cancellation requests cannot be submitted through texts or phone calls. Submitted cancellation requests may be delayed up to 48 hours to allow either party to reconfirm, reschedule, or finalize the cancellation. After such period, the cancellation will be finalized.
